Institute of Computer Science
It was created in 2004 on the basis of the Chair of Computer Science of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Lublin University of Technology. Its roots date back to 1989, when the Department of Computer Science was established within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. In its new form it continues the tradition already fifteen years of teaching and research in the field of computer science.
The Institute of Computer Science subsumes four departments:
- Unit of Programming and Computer Graphics, headed by Jerzy Montusiewicz, PhD (Eng), DSc (DEng), professor of the Lublin University of Technology
- Unit of Computer Science Fundamentals and Numerical Analysis, headed by Stanisław Grzegórski (DEng), PhD (Eng), DSc, professor of the Lublin University of Technology
- Unit of Software Engineering and Database Systems, headed by Marek Miłosz, PhD (Eng)
- Unit of Information Protection, headed by Grzegorz Kozieł, PhD (Eng)
Director of the Institute of Computer Science is Dariusz Czerwiński, PhD (Eng), professor of the Lublin University of Technology.
